Hamster competition

anyone heard of the below hamster competition?
saw this on singnet's classifieds

"Dear all, There will be a big hamster competition held on the 9th December2000 at the Singapore Expo Hall 6 with prizes to be won. All hamsters are welcomed. For more details, pls email your name and address to e_p_f@yahoo.com for entry forms. "

I saw a hamster competition last year at "Funtasia" held in Sun Tec City. Really fun to see adults and children chasing their hamster runners down the running track. Some of the hamsters just, START, take off and race to the end. The others run in opposite directions. Some just run in circles, playing hid and seek with the competitors.

Wonder if this is the same type of competition?

The hamster 'competition' is actually a hamster show. It is not a hamster race. It will be the 1st of its' kind in S'pore. The hamsters will be judged based on their physical attributes (whether they adhere to the breed standards). Just think of a dog show. Entry forms r available at petshops, & the fee for entering each hamster is $10.
