Hi guys!
Been a while since I was last here. Missed ya!
Not much has changed with Puff & Shady. They still have not yet faught(and for those that know why that is good.."whew!") ;-p
I bought another baby on Sat morning and was hoping to introduce her to them successfully...but that didn't happen. I had a cage that was small enough to fit in the tank, so baby was in the cage and Puff & Shady were in the tank(their home). Couple of scratches at the bars and the both climbed on top of the cage and chewed till they were tired. I switched them around(baby went in tank and Puff & Shady went in cage), and baby made herself at home in the nest them two had built. Anyways..long story short..I did some more of the intro things and it just wasn't happening. No biggie really. So today I went out and bought one of her old tank mates from the shop. Took about 10 min for it to be clear they were ok. They had only been separated from each other for a day and a half. They are both 7 weeks old. One is light grey with a white tip on tail, and the other is a spotted black/white with white tip on tail. Both females and so adorably cuuute!. No real names for them yet.....
I do have one question though.. Is it normal for females being kept together to start chasing each other around and ...for lack of a better word try and "hump" each other?? :fangel:
Shady just can't seem to kick the habit! LOL :rainbow:
