Hello All,

I have put San in an aquarim. I think she is not used to it at all. The tank doesn't have several storeys for her to climb and her house sort of has shrunk and she is feeling really weird about it.

I shifted all her things over, and realised that space is limited. So, i only put in her wheel and her house and her drinking bottle and a small bowl for her food.

I downgraded her house to a small wood block and her wheel to a smaller one too. She doesn't like her wood house, and sleeps outside. As for her wheel, i think she has got no choice, as she is bored and still runs on it. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have got no choice, the tank is way too small. Is there any way, which i can make her feel less stressed and adapt to her tank? I was quite tempted to put her back to her cage, but am afraid that her fur on her head might not grow fast, as she is still "nagging". http://petshub.com/ubb/frown.gif

She is a naughty girl, causing her mummy so much trouble with her "nagging" and her mummy is, at this forums, nagging to all hamsters lovers for help. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hi Susany,

Just a suggestion - if u wish to upgrade ur hamster to a bigger tank, u can try getting a plastic storage box from IKEA. They come in a variety of colour & size, & r lidless. Each storage box costs less than $10 (price varies according to the size), & is really easy to wash.

One of my dwarf hamsters used to be housed in a wire cage too, but was later rehoused in the plastic storage box. They'll get used to it eventually (I think!). Perhaps u can try getting a bigger tank for ur hamster?
