I got my hamster four days ago... i researched about pregnancy on the internet and she has all the signs of a pregnant hamster... i have a feeling she is but i don't know for sure. I got her at the pet store and they didn't tell me how old she was or wut the "gender" of the other hamster that was in the cage was. I am a first time owner so please help!

Here are the signs she shows:

Fatter than a normal size hamster

makes an isolated area in her box @ the end of her tube

u can see her nipples very clearly now...

she shows signs of irratability

sounds to me like you have a pregnant hamster, which isnt really all that uncommon when coming from a pet store. I dont know exactly what you should do, i would just leave her to do her thing. She should be able to take care of this on her own, if you are curious then do a goodle search on the matter. All in all it shouldnt be a big deal. I would, however, contact the pet store and ask them about taking the babies if you think it will be difficult for you to sell them or give them away.

she also takes all of her food 2 one area and fills her tunnel with bedding and then she cant get down the tunnel so she has 2 stay in a little box

Two times in the past I also ended up with a pregnant pet store hamster. The first time I didn't know until days later when I noticed the bulging sides of the black bear Syrian and a few days later she delivered 9 pups all of which died soon after birth except one that died on day 13. The second one I knew right away she was pregnant when I spotted her in a tank with other Syrians because her sides bulged and with a Syrian that's a good indication of later stage pregnancy. I figured she had her best shot if I took her home as opposed to delivering her pups in a tankful of other hamsters. I got her home and only hours later she delivered 7 pups. Only one died and now almost 11 months later I still got the mom and the pups who of course are now adults. Best thing you can do since you suspect a pregnancy is to feed her foods that are high in protein such as a piece of egg or bread soaked in low fat milk for a couple of examples. The added protein will go a long way in adding to her nutrition and will prepare her body for the time she delivers and nurses her pups.

Another thing you could do is seperate her from any other hamsters and clean her cage very often.
