Cute!! He looks like a short haired syrian, but I could be wrong. If he was a "teddy bear" the hair would probably be longer and look fluffier. Again, I coud be wrong.

He'll get friendly. :) It takes time and patience. And from what I've experienced with males, when they trust you and all that good stuff, they are the BEST. *sigh* I miss my males. I was going to get a male, but they only had male dwarfs and I wanted a syrian. I was about to get a dwarf because the colors on the female weren't appealing to me, but then I saw Snoopi at the body of the hammy pile, and it was the color I was looking for. So just give it time and your hammy will love you to bits! :)
