Just want to find out. Is there any particular things that i should take note about both the mother and babies?

Some updates on my hamsters. They are all fine and i have got 4 cute little babies. All are fine and the mother is fine too. Fine hair are beginning to grow from the babies.

Ur hamster pups are abt 2 wks old by now? U can start handling them now, & do remember to separate the pups according to their sex when they're 1 mth old. If u're keeping Syrians, pls remember to house one Syrian to one cage. U can buy wheatgerm from NTUC to feed the babies. Just sprinkle onto their usual hamster foodmix (by now, they'll be eating the hamster foodmix). Wheatgerm sorta acts as a body-building food for hamsters - makes them grow up healthy & strong. U can also feed the mother with some tofu, cheese, mashed hard-boiled egg etc...build up her protein intake. Good luck!

Now the mother hamster is rather weak. What can i give her for more supplements?

The pups are so small, and the moment my hand tries to touch them, the mother gets really aggressive. What can i do?

Ham, you can put a glove on and grab one of the babies and pick up the mother and stroke it so it can have more trust in you. It will love you and let you hold her babies. -Josie

Never touch babies any ealier than 10 days old.
10-12 days old start to handle babies.
babies open there eyes soon.
3-4 weeks seperate babies from mom.
4-5 weeks seperate male and female.

Thanks for asking. They are well and fine. Babies are fine too. The 'runt' has good appetiate, but still small in size. For the mother, she is regaining her weight and has been eating more. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hello. I'm pretty new here, and I just discovered that my hamster has babies too. She's always been very aggressive. I've had her for about four months and she's always been that way. There's just no taming her. I'm just hoping that I can tame the babies. I was wondering if anyone has any baby taming tips.
I'm terrified of being bitten while taming them. Their mother bites really hard. Will the babies bite when I begin to tame them? Will it hurt as bad as the mother's bite? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
