Hi!
Afrodita, my albino dwarf hamster is just giving birth to her litter... I just saw one baby and she is under the litter (bedding), so I don't know much about it... Atenea's litter just opened their eyes yesterday and they are running around the cage like crazy... lol...

It'll be a while before I can post pictures... They are good at hiding babies... so... they are all (babies and adults) under the litter... I think that Afrodita thinks that Atenea's babies (2 week old) are also hers... she keeps taking them when they are walking around and putting them in the nest along with the others. Right now Atenea and Afrodita are both at the nest area (I can't see them, but I see the litter moving) and Apollo is sleeping somewhere else. Every once in a while he inspects the cage and checks the nest then he goes back to sleep. It's funny how he interacts with babies. He doesn't seem to actually help raising them as gerbils do... but when he finds one he flips it on its back licks all its belly then threws it to one side and continue doing whatever he was doing... hehehe

I have a waiting list for them, some people Iknow that are interested in them (including my nieces, who want one each, they are 2, I'm giving them 2 males)... they are not very common here. I want to already separate Atenea since she's a bit problematic, but I might let Afrodita have another litter, since I hoped that more of Atenea's litter survived. The last litter will be separated into males with dad and females with mom and I'll keep them.
