my hamsters have been seperated for 3 days now, they have forgotton each others scent.

damion seems fine and happy with being by herself

but on the other hand, azrael has been acting really weird lately, seems really lazy and sad allmost.

like for instance, today, azrael was in her tube facing down, i stuck my finger in to try to lure her out, normally she wouldnt bite, she would just follow my finger, but this time she clamped on and drew blood pretty bad.

then when i got my finger out, she stuck her head out, opened her mouth, and was making a weird noise!

she never did this before!

azrael was the one who was victemized, damion was the one who attacked her.

i think azrael is depressed about not living with damion any more, she just doesnt seem herself :/

could this be?

btw.. i returned the male dwarf in exchange for a female, i was going to try to have one litter but decided not too because the other two dwarfs did not like the male at all.

She probably bit you because she didn't know what you were. For all she knows, you could have been a snake slithering up that tube to get her. Hamsters don't have good vision and you have to let them know your coming sometimes.

Oh, and the noise you are talking about, she's warning you to not come near her.

thats what i figured, she did seem to be sleeping so i figured i caught her off gaurd.
