hey...is my hamster pregnant??? i have a dwarf hamster...but i dont knoe her genetic species[russian, chinese, etc.].....
my hamster has gotten really fat over the past few days...ive been giving her healthy foods....i can see her putting her food in the little nest she made.....she has also been very active every other day....shes been goin on and off active...for example... one day shes very active throughout the whole day, then the next day she is sleeping, even during the night time when she usually wakes up......she has been eating and drinking way more than she used to.

she can still squeeze through tubes and slep into a ball....but she runs around alot, then sleeps, then eats...i mean, is there something wrong with my hamster??? or could it be pregnant???

If she was in contact with a male at some point the chance is high she is in fact pregnant.

She may be pregnant, how old is she, and when is the last time she could have been in contact with a male hamster?

PS, You most probably have a campbells dwarf hamster if you live in the U.S., because those are the most common type of dwarf here.

if you keep a male and female hamster in the same cage, then yes, she will be pregnant...
