Can I feed my Hamster cornflakes or musli?

Yeps, it's ok to feed them *plain* cornflakes/muesli. Make sure they have no added sugar, honey, salt etc.

I read somewhere that giving cornflakes and even oats are not advisable. Why?
1. Cornflakes, if u really do feel them are rather sharp around its edges and Hamsters like to store their food in their cheekpouches. The sharp edges may cut their delicate cheekpouches and tht might cause an infection.
2. Some oats have those sharp edges too. But if ure talking about rolled oats.. shouldnt be a problem. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif

My dwarf hamster, Allie, loves cornflakes. I give her one or two every few days. I didn't know about the sharp edges though. Does this really pose a big threat?

If your thinking of giving them popcorn make sure its plain no sugar no caramel no butter they will go for those belive me my hamster goes for it everytime he sees the corn coming home
