confused

okay, one of my dwafs i have kept seperate from the other two because the other two kicked the snot out of it one day and wouldnt leave the poor guy alone, well anywas, needless to say i think it emotionally scard him because now he keeps his eyes closed 99% of the time, and when i pick him up he makes a weird breathing noise and his chest starts beating really hard, his nails have grown extremley long and i feel so bad for the guy, but mainly my question is, why would he keep his eyes closed all taht time?

Is there any build up, Maybe try a warm cotton ball and little rub his eyes? Or maybe the others did some real damage?

the guys got his nose pretty bad but that was it, i dont see any buildup and he keeps his eyes open while doing normal stuff like running on the wheel and going about his buisness, but when i try to pet him or put my finger to the cage he closes his eyes and doesnt open them. its been like a week since the damage has happend and he looks fine now

i feel bad though, he was the nicest hamster i had untill the other guys tore him up :/

I'll bet he's just scared seeing how the nose is close to the eyes maybe he's scared to let anyone near it. Im sure with in time he'll be fine, he just needs to have more trust! Im glad to here that not much was done and sooo glad you where smart enough to get them out alot of people jsut leave them together and say there just fighting to see whos more "dominate".

Awwww! Poor little guy. I don't have any advice but that he's probably scared, but I just wanted to say sorry. I want to hold him or something. It's nice to be able to come here but I swear all these stories just make me cry. I'm a big baby anyway...ha ha! Maybe he will come around and please keep us informed.
