Unless they are dwarf hamsters, you have to keep them separated. What kind are they?

1 of them is pure Grey and the other is White and light brown and the pet store i went to they live in the same Cage all together as babies. I wouldnt Say princess My Grey hamster Hates Stewart but she unsure of him living with her. She will sometimes push him out the way but she did some sniffing and they touched did all that stuff hamsters do.

I can't tell what kind they are from that desciption. Are they full grown? If so, how many inches long are they? Most pet stores have no idea what they are doing, they'll tell you just about anything to get you to buy something.

Here...click (http://www.petwebsite.com/about_hamsters.htm)

If they look like any of the dwarf types, then they should be able to live together. If they look like the syrian, PLEASE separate them.

I really feel sorry for the hamsters who are in the hands of people in this thread who obviously are unqualified to care for them, people who can barely type a coherent sentence. :(

STOP BREEDING.

SEPARATE YOUR HAMSTERS until you know they are dwarfs who will not fight, and keep them separated (even if dwarfs) unless they are the same sex to avoid litters.

Adult SYRIANS SHOULD NEVER BE KEPT TOGETHER.

Yikes! I didn't notice that the hamsters were male and female! In that case, they NEED to be separated.

I see nothing wrong Staurt is only a baby Syrian and Princess is a Old Adult Syrian and well after i put Stuart in the cage they would fight a little now its like WHOA there being nice. Princess would play on her Wheel and Check up on Stuart to see if he was ok when he was sleeping. Princess doesnt seem to mind that he is in the cage shes kinda looking after him. if something does happen to happen i will consider seperating them but right now there doing good until i can find a way to save money for another cage and supplies.

Ditto.

I havn't had a hamster since i was a child. And i had read never to keep hamsters together, they are solitary creatures.
A friend of mine did not belive me, and said "Bobby and Suzy are bother and sister they love each other". Well untill Suzy ate bobbys head open.... Then died herself a couple days later from being depressed.

IF they don't kill one another, they will make babies, tons and tons of babies, If you cannot afford a cage for 2 now, how are you going to afford a cage fore 20!?!?

PLEASE serarate them NOW! When I bought mine two months ago, the lady at the pet store said, "oh yeah get two, they will be lonely". Well I got two and after I got on here and read not to put them together I thought well they don't fight...not my hamsters. Yeah right! Little did I know I had a pregnant hamster that refused to live with the other one. Oh! By the way hamsters go in heat every four days and trust me you don't want babies. And if she gets pregnant she will kill the male if you leave them together. You can get a critter trail one for $18.00 online. Go to www.petfooddirect.com If you have to put one in a storage container with LOTS of holes until you get the new cage. If you can't afford them then you don't need them. Hamsters aren't as cheap as everyone says. Trust me I found that out the hard way.
