please help!!

I have a cat and a puppy(chi hua hua).The problem is ,thay couldn't get along very well and i have to separate them every seconds.Now,i have to decide to choose one between them for the situation is getting serious.I don't want to do that coz i love both of them.Please help me to solve this problem.

Xiaomin - don't be too hasty in getting rid of one of your pets! It may be that you introduced your pets too quickly without giving them enough time to sort out the new living situation in your home. The most important thing is to TALK TO YOUR VET! He/she will surely have excellent advice on how to solve this. If they are hurting each other or damaging your home you should separate them right away and have a "cat only" room or area that is blocked off from the dog by a baby gate or something. That way your cat can jump up and over the gate to get away from the dog if it wishes. Keep the cat's food, water and litter box in the area that the dog can't access.

It will probably take a bit of work from you to make this happen, but remember that thousands of pet owners have multiple cats and dogs and they get along just fine.
