I got a gold fantail (I named it Mandrin) and when it was in the bag it lost a little tail fin. Will it grow back? Can it get infected?

You should always have some kind of Ick treatment on hand to use as a preventative whenever you are planning to introduce a new fish into your existing tank or a new tank. I use Jungle brand ICK GUARD, it's easy to use and can prevent you from either bringing ick home with your new fish, or your fish getting ick from the stress of the move.
