nippy dwarfs?

first of all my gerbils just had 7 babies, and im trying to get rid of'em, but dont worry I know alotta science teachers http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif. so i think to myself, gerbils are boring, so I set out on a quest to find some sorta small mammal to go in a 20gal long,(when the gerbils move out). I came across those little dwarf hamsters, and im thinking about getting some. the ones at the pet store were nippy, are dwarfs naturally just nippy little animals?

it doesn't sound like you get very attached to your animals.. If you think that your gerbils are boring I suggest you not get any hamsters.

They sleep all day and wake in the evening/night time. My dwarfs are not nippy but like most small pets they have to get used to you before they trust you.

Maybe you should buy some fish

But salty, from your statement "gerbils are boring" and "get rid of'em", you don't seem to like them at all. Besides not all hamsters are nippy. Also, if you get bored with pets easily, why still wanna get another then? Have you got your guinea pig already?

i havent got my guinea pigs yet, i scrached the dwarf idea , the pet store dwarfs all were nippy. and dont worry about the guinea pigs wellfare, they'll be in a kiddie pool, eating vitamin C forified food, and they wont have cedar or pine bedding either.

Salty, I really don't know why do you keep pets. To me, pets are my friends and I get attached to them. I got plenty of things to do such as work and school, but I still get very excited when my hamsters play with me or do something cute. All I wanna tell you is that if they don't interest you any more. Try doing something else and let the people who would love them take care of them. Taking care of a pet doesn't just mean owning, buying, or feeding them. They are lives and they do have emotions.

Yeah, my sister loves Neopets, lol. Some people are just unable to make the commitment to their pets that they require. If you are unable to give them the care and attention that they need to be healthy and happy, then it's cruel to keep getting animals.
