my little brother just caught a garden snake, it seems perfectly fine, he's had it all day and it isnt biting him. and get this, he wants to keep it as a pet *sighs*. is this ok? and if so what do they eat?

It is ok to have them as a pet, but it does require a tank with a lid and something to keep it closed cause snakes are escape artists. and they should have something to heat the tank, along with things to climb on. and just because it hasent bitten him YET it will happen sometime soon. Your snake will eat fish, insects, and rodents. dont feed it anything bigger then the chunkiest part of its stomache. and always handle with care.
