Katie I cannot say thank you enough. I'm really much more determined today than I was last night with Murphy. Time and patience and love are all he and I need to make this work. And I DO have the time. You were so right in fussing at me about the time I was spending on the internet not playing with him. Right now he is in his fanny pack on my waste with some soft bedding from his bed in his cage so it's soft and familiar. He is sleeping peacefully there right now. At night, my dogs are usually good and ready for bed around 10 pm, so they can go to my bedroom and I can close that off and let Murphy play for at least an hour before I head to bed too. My apartment is small, but i can make sure it's safe enough for him and keep an eye on him. Also, finding the right food for him isn't difficult, and I used to snack on baby foods myself (yes I'm weird) so that's no problem to get him either. could you give me a good recipe/how to thingy for the leadbeaters mix???

one more thing...do your sugar babies scratch you a lot? I know that he needs those sharp claws for climbing, and I cannot trim them yet, and definitely not myslef, and really they don't look long, they are just SHARP! If I cannot keep him from scratching me, do you have any tips for making the claw marks go away more quickly!?!?! I'm going to drive you crazy with questions...I hope that's ok!?!?!?! :)

hehe all the questions are ok.. sorry if i sounded snotty, but there are so many people that dont think about it.. they are small,,, you are big.. wouldnt you be afraid of a bear? it all takes time & sometimes it takes a good few months.. the more time you spend the better & more loyal a glider you will have. as for the nail, you can line the wheel with sand paper.. or you could clip them..(although he needs to be tame or you know how to taco wrap him) *its normally a two many job* =] you can also buy those bird perches that basically have the same idea to them..
