In a vally, down below
Stood a farmer deep in snow
He blew his nose, and sucked his pipe
And gave his watering eyes a wipe
He glared around the crisp white fields
And peered straight through the fog
He was searching for beloved Tess
Hs old working sheepdog
Tess had been frightend
And ran far away
And the farmer
Wanted to know where she lay
He peered over bolders
And under a log
Then out from a bush
Came the worried Sheepdog
The farmer bent down on his hands and knees
And gave Tess a loving hug
He took her home and layed her down
By the fire side on a rug.
