Hello everyone!
Well...a couple weeks ago for Mother's Day, I bought my Mom a betta fish. At my PETCO they only sell males so we DEFINENTLY kept them separate. They saw each other I bet through the glass...because their habitats are near each others.

Anyways, I *think* my Mom's betta is making a bubble nest because the top of the water level is CoVeReD in bubbles...(and it's not the water). Can anyone tell me where to find a picture of a bubble nest so I can see if he actually is building one?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure what your seeing is a bubble nest. Sometime when males Bettas are around each other they begin to make nests, or water changes. If the bubbles stay there for awhile and arn't easily popped, their bubble nests.
Heres a pic http://www.hochzuchtbetta.de/images/bubblenest.jpg

For better picutes, go to google.com, click on the "images" above the type in search box, then type in Betta Bubble Nest's then go, and you'll find more pictures.

Happy bettas will build a bubble nest, it looks just like what it says it is. Hard to miss it.. the great big ones are outstanding to look at! They really nifty thing is some boys completely suck at building the nests so you can steal one from a good nest builder and put it in the other males tank. Females will and do blow bubble nests also.
