Hey,
Iam new here so, I was just wondering
if someone knows anything about parrots.
Someone gave me it so I said yes and I really
want to know things about them, such as, what
do I do with them, or when do I talk to them,
so keep me updated.
Thanks,
Chris

You should not do these things to a bird: spank, hit, blow in the face, squirt water in the face or shout at it.

i dont mean a really hard spank so ill knock it out, i mean a short spank, whenever it bites me , i spank it like a small, but pain feeling spank, and then i look in its face and scream "man-hu!" and it obeys me and doesnt ever bight me again, you should try it

Ohhhh k Da person.. We are talking birds here, the ones with feathers that go tweet tweet or sometimes scream, NOT the ones(girls) you are picking up in the seedy bars you haunt. I would love to see you give my parrot a spanking, he'd rip your head off LOL.

WHy are parrots so expencive? If they are breeding them by the masses in captivety you'd think they would be alot cheaper! ARE breeders cheeper for birds or are petstores?
Is there small breed parrots?

Mass breeding doesn't mean that they all survive. It is cheaper to get a bird from a breeder, and you will have a better understanding of what you are getting into. Diet also plays a huge factor, poor diets is one of the major reasons behind premature death. Over the counter parrot food doesn't cut it and just feeding them that will knock about 50 yrs off the life of your parrot.
Then there is the fact that when you buy a parrot, you are bringing home someone that should be with you for LIFE, your life, not that of the parrots lol. My daughter is lined up to inherit my parrot, they are the same age so will see who lives longer lol, odds are her daughter will end up with him after we are gone.
Parrots are major purchases that come with a price to keep fair weather peeps from buying them and then throwing them away when they are tired of them. I didn't buy my parrot, he was given to me and my husband and I am still learning about them and what to feed them etc. He needs a gf, but until I know more about parrots in general I will leave them to the more experinced peeps.
