Does anyone know where to get a sugar glider if I'm in California. I noticed that www.sugar-gliders.com in FL say they ship in previous responses but will they ship to CA. I noticed that Lisa (animalcrazed1) is from NorCal and wanted to know if she ever went through sugar-gliders or where she got hers. Thanks a lot.

no, but there's this little petstore in vegas that impressed me very much...it was very clean and ALL the animals were very healthy, as soon as i remember what it was called, ill let you know lol
you can always try searching online, tahts how i find all my breeders.
ps i hope you know that you cant get just ONE sugar glider, they need to be kept in pairs...

I DID go through sugar-gliders.com, they were SUPER nice and my two joeys arrived safe and sound. It was easier to have them shipped than to trek all the way out to Las Vegas.
I had her ship them to the Reno airport and just picked them up there.
I didnt tell them I liVED IN CA
there gliders are healthy and really friendly.
Good luck!

I find it interesting that you know its illegal and still want to break the law. what happens if your gliders need a vet? you cant take them to one in CA, they will be confiscated, and you will be fined, at the least.

Actually there are glider vets in Southern California that promote they will give treatment to them if you go to the international glider website and do a search for vets in CA you will find them. Plus that the law now states that if you bring an illegal pet into a vet the doctor does not have to report any violations to the state. Per the old law where he or she would have to. I called my cousin in the department of fish and game of california and got this information. Just for a little information to about California and illegal pets that ferret owners (illegal in CA) in CA have approx. the second highest in the US.

ohhh ok I see. Actually thats good because I am going to be moving to CA in a couple years for a job there, and I have ferrets and gliders, and I didnt know what I was going to do with them so that is good to know that you can have them. I have heard about the ferrets annonymos that is there where people wear masks and go to a ferret vet day or somthing. It was on good morning america once.

SCTrojans1, yeah its true, my first week here in LA I went to a Vet and she was fine with seeing my sugargliders, also, if you are still looking for some, I have five really healthy gliders and want to see them get a good home. They keep having joeys and though I want to keep them all, my apartment is too small and doesn't even allow them.

ahh, she is here in marina del rey, but I can't remember where exactly, we called everybody in town and happened to walk into her place...she was the only doctor in the office to see sugar gliders

Hi Emmileaner,
I live in L.A. and was wondering if you had any Joeys and what's the price for them? How old are they when you sell them? Would I be able to go and see them before making a purchase? Sorry for all the questions..
