Can they take flight ?

Two months later I'll be going back to my hometown 1300 miles away from where i am now. My little dwarf hamster will be more than 7 months old by then. The question is, can they take the plane? Will the airline allows that? I thought of carrying it using a very small aquarium cage, and the flight will take 3 hours.

Most airlines allow you to fly with an animal except that then that counts as your carry on. Be sure to check with the airline you're going with and about their specific regulations on it. Your hamster should fare fine. He may get a little stressed from the different surroundings but should be fine otherwise. It would probably be wise to schedule a flight during the day so he may just sleep through it all, if you're lucky. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif For what to carry him in you'll have to check with the airline. They may not allow a glass aquarium. Usually they want one of the plastic pet carriers that open in the front and have the handle on the top. Good luck!
