She's almost about 5 years old now, about 260-300 pounds, and we have a ... I'd say 7 ft, by 4 ft home, just a big rectangle box we made, Uhh, 5 ft high, and for almost a week now she will not get up at all to use the restroom, well maybe at night, well she hasnt eaten at all, it's all been thrown out, and wont drink:drinky:.. We feed her pig feed (Pellets) and we usually take one wall down each summer to get her out, I don't remember her ever staying in like this, we would take it down to cool her off, now she will not get out, were about to take one wall off to get her out, but we live in Atlanta now, and lived in Miami, well me for 10 years and now here for 5, I don't know if pigs sorta "Hybernate" in the summer:redhot: lol but, I was just wondering if something is wrong or not. Thanks..
Kenneth.

I hope your pig is okay. I live in Massachusetts and this is my first summer with my pig (he's only 9 months old), but so far there's no sign of any kind of hibernation or lack of activity. I can't imagine that it's a good sign that she's not eating or drinking. Have you found any suitable vets in the area?

We don't have anymore "moving" vets, we called and stuff they said to wait it off and see what would happened, shes 4 now, maybe 5, we waited and I fed her watermelon and other things to try to get her to come out but after a while about another week, she finally started to come out and I don't know what that was all about.
Thanks alot, but about 9 months now... he/she still running around? lol Mine died about 6 months, some reason, it's my bro's female still alive, I think when we had a movable vet come it neutered the male and it died for some reason with a problem, but anyways about 9 months she was so active and running it was fun, now about 20 feet shes back in the house sleeping, lol thanks anyways :cool2: Good Luck! :-D

ok here's a question, you say pigs are lazy, Well how well would they do for a walk? Where I am in the city and Mu (my soon to be piggie) will be a house pig I want to be able to take him for walks when I get home from work because he's been in all day. OR is it just as good for them to just go outside?
