Please help me! I found two baby mice in my apt that came out of a new/used washer. They are just babies so i am keeping them until they get old enough to live on their own. right now i am feeding them both baby formula. the one is getting bigger and healthier, but the other one just lies there and barely opens its eyes. it always has its mouth open. what should i do about the health of my sick mouse?

fryedeggs,
If the baby is not eating, do drop some glucose water for it to drink. This will give it some energy. Also, make the baby formula thicker when feeding the small baby. Try using a small pointer syringe and push it gently into the mouth and feed it. If none of these help, i think a trip to the vet would be advised.
All the best.

Thank you for your insightful reply. Unfortunately my sick mouse died last night. I really hope that i provided a nice loving home for it and it was happy the in the last hours of its life.

Wow DARN! If only I read your post before hand. I had the same promblem. I found baby mice and I kept them. Well anyway I was going to take care of them myself. But when I talked to a person at the pet store. they said thats the worst thing to do. So they reccomended us to get a mommy mouse. At first i was like EKK! But it is amazing how a mommy mouse will nurse a baby thats no even hers. So the mouse thats still alive, you should get it a mom mouse. :p
good luck!
