I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with raccoons.

I had a neighbor when i was a child, who had a family of racoons living under their deck, a stray dog came into their yard killing the racoon family, except for one baby, which they brought into their home and raised.
I'm not 100% but i believe the racoon either was somehow let back into the wild, or lived at a rescue farm when it grew up.
I like racoons, they are so cute. But I wouldn't suggest them as a "pet".

I really don't know much about them. If you want I could talk to my friend so that I can give him your e-mail and you both could talk about raccoons :).

I've heard skunks make pretty kool pets. Teehee!
As far as raccoons go, I really think they should be left i the wild ... but if someone wanted one as a pet, I would suggest you raise it yourself. Get it when it's young and raise it properly to love people.
I don't particularly know anything about them except the common knowledge that they love garbage (I have coons in my garbage bucket almost every week!) and love getting into mischief. But the phrase should be "Like a coon in the headlights" because deer don't react. They slink to the ground, show their teeth, and get fear and hate all twisted up in their eyes when they get stuck in the spotlight.
Other than that, that is as far as my knowledge goes.

I have a 2 year old raccoon I f I can help just ask. He was neutered at 16 weeks old before any hormones got going.
