Hey guys. I got 2 female syrians less than 6 hrs ago and i am already noticing odd behavior, is this a result of a new enviroment or what?
the problem is both of them are asleep and its 11 pm! also one of the hammies loves the wheel so much, instead of sleeping in a corner, she sleeps right next to it!
Please explain the result of this unusual behavior. Best wishes.

doesnt sound unusual at all....my hamster, most of the time sleeps way past 11 pm and he switches the spot where he sleeps every now and then....Hell, sometimes he makes his bed IN the wheel lol
nothing to be worried about

If you got them just 6 hours ago, give them a few days in their cage without disturbing them.
This will give them time to acclimate to your house, smells, noises, and will help to reduce their stress.
My Syrian wakes up every night at 8:30pm, and demands to come out of her cage EVERY NIGHT between 9:15 and 9:30.
But like humans every critter is different!
I just got a Syrian Hamster, and so far she seems to be active ALL the time! *lol* I know that she is just settling in.. I wonder what her sleep patterns will become once she is settled.
