View Full Version : OMG ! I think Elvis's leg is broken!!!

I was holding my baby! and he like leaped of my hand which he never does...he normally like runs from hand to hand and he fell off and it looked like a not good fall. I scooped him up immediatly and checked him out and i think one of his arms is broken. it looks like his shoulder blade is sticking out. and i feel something lose by his front left leg. HELP wat do i do. hes acting normal tho. like it never happen. hes runnin on his wheel and hes still runs from hand to hand but i think its broken. hes not crying but...I'm bout to!!!!!
help i dont kno if any of the vets around here take care of hamsters.

try an emergency vet, or a regular vet. They should all take care of hamsters. Give them a call, it won't hurt. Try to find a small animal vet.

i was wondering if i should take him to petco and ask them where to go or something. (i got him from petco)

my friend had the same thing happen to him.it just happened about a month ago.take him to the vet as soon as possible.he will have to wear a cast for a couple of weeks.don't worry he will be fine.hope he does better.

Oh yeah as long as you take him to the vet, he'll be okay. Just a word of advice the people that work at Petco and all other pet stores are usually just workers and don't have a large databank of info beyond what they are told and if you know your hamster is hurt just spare him some pain and take him straight to the vet.

yea but i believe its petco, no petsmart, that actually has a national vets office there that inspect their animals and are willing to lend a hand

My hamster did the exact same thing I left her in her cage for a month,let her sleep and never messed with her. It was all better in a month. I found out it was broke cause she would chew on it cause it hurt and everytime I would touck it she would attack my hand! I would deffanetly prefer a vet but mine was fine, but then again maybe it was sprang!
