Hi!

We are Iggy Iguana Rescue and Bird Sanctuary in Missouri. We take in abandoned, abused, rescued and surrendered iguanas, birds and many other exotic animals. Our website is www.iggysbirds.com Come check it out and tell me what you think in the guestbook. We work with several veterinarians and animals shelters/humane societies to make sure these animals are given the care medically and socially that they need. We temporarily house ones that can be treated, tamed etc and then readopted out and we give permanent sanctuary to those that are "retired" or will need continued extensive medical attention. We believe that even "aggressive" animals can be worked with. We also offer boarding of animals while the owners are away if interested you can also email me at questions@iggysbirds.com We have filed for non-profit corporation status but as I'm sure you know anything can take a while with the government  We do have all the permits needed besides having veterinarian referrals.

looking to adopt a red-eared slider. I have a 1000 gallon outdoor pond with goldfish, plants and filter. I already have a four year old male slider. It will be my sliders first winter outdoors. Have been doing alot of reading on internet and speaking with missouri conservation department people-he should acclimate well. Would like to get another turtle for company (not interested in breeding). If you have a female I would remove any nests that are produced.

Thanks
