I had a syrian hamster named Baby and she is having a sickness. I really hope that someone could advice me what I can do.
I fed her some corns and I thing that it is the cause of the sickness. She lost her appertite since then. Today there's a very strong smell coming from her cage. So i intend to clean them. While I was cleaning it. I saw her blood all around the house and when I lift her up, there is a red thing about 1 cm long coming out from her bum.
what should I do at the time being before sending it to vet. Can anyone please advice me on what I should do at the time being?

Nothing because no time should be wasted and I would suggest taking her to the emergency vet because that is seriously an emergency.
I heard this case millions times before but I don't know what cause it. Your vet will either try to push the "thing" back into her and/or give her some antibiotics.

Just to update you, especially Krazie4pets. The vet said that she can't survive any longer and so they suggest that instead of seeing her sufferring, its better for us to put her to sleep. Actually, the red thing which come out from her bum are her ovaries. They further advice that it has nothing to do with the food or hyegine purpose but it just happened that she's the unlucky one. I pray and hope that all other hamsters are not as unlucky as Baby. She is such a sweet and loveable hamster. She will come to you in her ball when you call her name. She is the only I hamster that I have who really know her name. Tears keeps running whenever I see her empty cage, still with some of her blood on her bedding. I never cried this hard before in my life. Its not just a hamster, she's part of the family too.
Its a heart broken story but I guess someone up there love her so much. She's only 4 month old and what I can do for her is to let her go freely.
Anyway, thank you to all who have read about the sickness of Baby Bertozzi.

:( I am very sorry for your loss. It is hard when you lose a pet. But at least she's not suffering anymore.

hi Hammy, hi ksweet12, it is very hard when we lost our pet.
Especially when they are so sweet and so close to you. I just feel like she is the only one who understands me.
Anyway, Baby look exactly like the picture that both of you displayed. (With the black strips at the side of the cheek, which is why I got her at the first place). Now I'm trying to get another hamster with the same breed. If you know anyone who 's willing to give away of their hammy, please let me know. I wanted to have a hamster as my best friend again as even when you're feeling down, by looking at their cute face and their curiousness, its good enough to pull me up again.
Again, if there's any of the people you know anyone who wants to give away to a good home, please kindly inform me at my e-mail address - Nur_Azura1@hotmail.com.
