Just a new photo of Blanche.

She is a big one! That is why I am convinced she never uses the internal Habitrail wheel. Do yours?

Oh my god! She's so great...I love the name! One of my Hams, Fatness aka Frankie, is just as big as Blanche it seems. I answered another one of your posts before: All of my hams are rather large Syrians. They all run in their respective Habitrail internal wheels...so like I said before, I think Blanche just does it when you're not looking. :ninja:

Blanche isn't in a Habitrail; I think she is too big to fit in the tubes!

Thanks for the pics. They are really a riot! I love the one of Makeeda desperately trying to get away from the kids. Of course, Blanche and her brother were adorable as tiny babies. I remember when my boys were so small. OH: and Zeb's foot int he air is classic...do you ever notice any of your hams sleeping on their backs? Mine do constantly! Again, thanks-great pictures. I wish I could post, but first I'd have to get my hands on a digital camera! :genie:

They sleep on their backs when they are hot, as in the Summer.

Blanche escaped a few days ago with some remarkable acrobatic tricks. All my animals come to my voice, BUT in this case in seaching for her I moved a box that blocked her under her hiding place - a bookcase. So be careful when this happenes do not block their escape routes. Last night I moved the box deducing she was back there - she was, a little dusty. She drank a lot, and had a snooze in her habitat.

Oh no, poor Blanche. Im glad shes back home, safe and sound. Yeah, now that I think about it, you're right- Ive noticed the sleeping-on-the-back, during the warm months only. It's very cute I think. My Ham Eddie, managed to lift the door to his habitrail and crawl out TWICE, until I devised a rubber band "lock" that is too tight for him to lift. Hams are very ingenious it seems. Makes me wonder- do they really want to get away from us, or is it just an instinct to explore?

I love Albino Syrians! Blanche is far beyond adorable and looks like a true sweetie. Sometimes when I seem hammie photos I just want to reach "through" the screen and grab ahold of them. :)
