To Any Loving Person Who Can Help,
I have two cute male fuzzies about three years old, Bonkers and Doser. I am moving to New York and cannot take them with me. They are very friendly, get along well with my cats, and decently with my puppy. They come with a seven foot ferret condo, a extra large play pen, toys, Ferrets for Dummies, as well as food and treats. I adopted them two years ago from a shelter in Wareham MA, and although I have been told by the shelters here in MA that I must return them there now that I need to give them up, I will not. The shelter is not adequate. When I was there they had too many fuzzies and not enough space. It was obvious after taking them home that they were not exercised daily or spoiled at all.
So what I am looking for are caring and experienced ferret owners. I can deliver the ferrets and their accessories within a reasonable driving distance, I live in Medford MA (outside of Boston.) I am willing to drive up to two hours in any given direction. Because the ferrets have special issues, I really need special owners.
When they came to me they had already lived a terrible life. Originally they were rescued from a hotel janitorial closet where the lived off eating garbage. Bonkers and Doser are somewhat potty trained. In the cage they are able to either make the box, or make it within a few inches of the box. Outside of the cage however, they refused to use the corner boxes (which is why I have the oversized playpen.) They are however good about going before they leave the cage, as I do let them run free in the room when I can watch them. They have lots of energy spurts and LOVE to sleep (especially Doser.) Like I said they are both very social, Doser even enjoys licking people. Health wise they are both in good shape. There was a period of time where the doctors suspected that Bonkers had cancer, he lost weight and alot of fur. However, they determined that it was a behavioral thing and we have moved on. However, the possibility still may exist, although he was named because of his high enery and eccentric-ness, so hopefully he still is fine.
Please feel free to email or call me. I am moving in mid August and they cannot come. If I do not have a home for them before I move I will be forced to return them to the unacceptable shelter. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Thanks in advance,
Katie Prince
