View Full Version : Can Elvis use a water bowl instead of a water bottle?

The bottle is gettin to be a pain water just keeps coming out the front every so often making his bedding wet and i have to change it almost every day. can I use a bowl? (the other water bottles are to big for the cage)

You should be changing the water everyday anyway. With the bowl, you will have a bigger mess, and things like food and bedding may get in the water, or your hammy could kick the bowl over. You're much better off with a bottle.
What water bottle do you have? You can get a small one, hamsters don't drink a lot in a day, and even if they do, it gets refilled the next day so no worries.

i mean i have to change my water everyday because of the water falling out ......but ne ways...yah its relativly small...mine doesnt have a ball in it tho....are those better?

I actually didn't know there were other kinds, to be honest. But yeah, I would s'pose those are better, I've never had issues with leaking.

yah i guess i should try that one...its just the ones i've seen like that are huge for my lil hammie..but i guess i could check out petsmart...i'm just too loyal to petco i guess lol

Actually the one I have came from Petco. I do think Petsmart has a larger vriety of items, so it may be a good idea to check there. :)

thats wat i'm goin to do to..i was just askin before i waste money on a bottle if a bowl would be better. but obviously u felt the need to make a smart comment. sad really. :no:
