What do you use for "toys" for your bunny? I've heard they like to play with things, but I'm afraid to get anything like cat toys that have bells in the middle in case it would break and they might choke on it or something (the bell).
So, what do you use for toys?
Thanks!

My two bunnies love any type of ball to nudge around, cardboard boxes to chew, play in, climb on and rearrange, paper towel tubes, old blankets and towels (they dig on these, move them around with their noses, try to tunnel under them, chew them and lay on them). Their favorite game is jumping on and off the couch and chairs, and playing Keep-away from me. Sometimes they'll play tug-o-war with old shirts and towels as well. What does your bunny like to play with?

Hi,
Basically, my bunny likes to hop and hop happily. He likes to play with clips, small towels. Hum, just like you, i would try some cardboards for my bunny to play. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif
How old are your bunnies?
Will keep you informed once i tried the cardboard out. I am so excited. I am knocking off that bell toy for good. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif
Hear and get back to you soon. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif

hi,
I have 3 rascals at home and i have to try all sorts of ways and means to relive their boredom. U can try stuffing their fav hay (T.hay) inside the toilet rolls. They can then toss them ard and munch on them. its good, healthy and clean fun.
One of my rabbits actually like having a cloth, blanket thown on her and she will then find her way out. Hide and Seek i guess. She will come to me again when shes out of the blanket, and i would have to throw it over her again. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif.
From my experience,
some rabbits like tossing ard toys tht make a loud noise. THey feel really grand when they do tht.

Hi,
I don't have a rabbit anymore - it had a tumour behind its eye and had to be put to sleep - but I remember that it just loved to throw around the cardboard rolls that are inside toilet paper rolls. It also used to jump up on my couch and drag down all small stuffed animals that I kept there. It would then throw them around on the floor. It has been a few years now that I lost her, but I still miss her A LOT!
What does your bunny look like, how old is it and is it a boy or a girl?
Wish you lots of fun with it!

Thank you for replying.
I tried putting some timothy hay in the toilet rolls, and my rabbit was vigorously throwing the rolls and desperately trying to get the hay out. I am amuzed with it.
Cootie, I think you must have lots of fun with your 3 rabbits. How can you handle with 3 rabbits? No riots?
Tammy, I am sorry about your loss of your rabbit. I have a male rabbit and is about 3 to 5 years old. Not too sure though. Ever consider getting another rabbit?

hey jon,
yes i have 3 terrors at home and they're the masters of the house. haha. I am their bunny slave. I am always at their command. All of my 3 terrors have different characters. Esme, my white french angora is the King. He is super neat and arranges his things ard his cage. U cant touch him, whenever i do tht, he IMMEDIATATELY grooms himself non stop. Nietzsche, my precious female is more bonded with me, she usually hops circles ard me and follows me to the loo at night and back. Maybe she can sense i am a scardy cat?
What about your rabbit/s? Must be your pride and joy! After i got my rabbits, i never thought of having a cat or a dog. They make such good companions.

Hello,
Harry is a "Lone Ranger". He prefers to be alone, till it is meal time. He loves to play though. My plant was destroyed by him, as he chewed the leaves and branches, leaving the stem. I supposed he wants the plant to live, so that he can chew more in future.
He has a particular place where he loves to sit or lay down. At times, my shoes or some leaves landed at his "place", he would be really angry and hold them in his mouth and throw them aside!
Given his mischiefness, he is a nice boy too. He loves hugs and strokes. He loves celery, carrots, cabbages, brocoli. Sometimes, when he is really happy, he jumps so high, as if he is dancing.
Cootie, do your rabbits dance too? Since you have 3 rabbits, are you breeding them or are they fixed? Any other food which you can recommend to give to Harry? Do you give them hay? I think we can exchange pointers every now and then. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif

hey ho jon,
I'd love to talk to another rabbit slave anytime.
No, i dont breed my rabbits. My males are neutered and my female is going to be spayed soon. Its hard to find good, experienced vets here in Singapore as most of them are more inclined to dogs or cats.
Personally, i prefer Timothy Hay to Alfalfa as they dont have tht might protein content. Timothy provides more fibre than alfalfa too. Do you feed Harry cabbages daily? Cabbages have high water content and this may cause diarrhoea in Rabbits. Carrot tops and broccoli are the safest bets but whtever u feed, feed in moderation. Treats like drops or fruits can be feed once or twice a week.
I feed my rabbits Hagen pellets and supplement them with T.Hay. I belive the pellets tht have the highest fibre content is Oxbow BUnny basics(for younger rabbits) and Oxbow bunny basics T (for older rabbits).
Great, if harry kisses u, tht means he loves u. http://petshub.com/ubb/smile.gif!!! yes my rabbits do the rabbit dance when i let them out of their cage when i get home. Sometimes they get so excited, they knock into chairs and bins. haha veryvery cute indeed!
mail me if u have anything more to yak. I reply faster tht way.

Hi
I use loo Roll middles, cat toys, and a tennis ball sized ball with another ball in the middle, these are stronger than the normal cat toy, also baby plastic teething rings. they love them and throw them around.

Toilet paper rolls are a big favourite among many buns. Any kind of cardboard tube. I like to take an old cardboard box, fill the bottom with newspapers, then pile lots of hay on top. Then my bun can dig and chew and tear and rip till his heart's content. There are some really good rabbit toy websites you can go to. They sell excellent quality merchandise. http://www.bunnybytes.com is just one of them. If you go to the House Rabbit Society website, I think there is a list of the online stores that sell good rabbit toys. Hope this helps.
