Pleco eating from top?

HI,

My Pleco eats the food at the bottom (pellets that drop) and then he goes to the top and tries to swallow food on the surface as well - which looks funny :D as he is not designed to eat like this. I have an established tank with some algae and I always check to see that the Pleco gets to the pellets at the borrom.
Is he just being a piggy? :eek:

yes hes just a piggy i have had several that have done this
and also depending on what type of alge is in the tank (if it is green and fuzzy they cant eat this type real well) he might be doing what he needs to to get all he needs to eat.
