I'm a goat lover too!!! :chat: I have been begging for permission to get a goat. We are getting rabbits right now. I would love to get goats too. Some of my favorites are cashmier, nubian, and pygmy.

I'm also a goat fan, and will be getting one (or two) once i move.
Pygmy goats are very popular in North America, but as for Australia don't know. Have you looked online?

I fell in love with my first pygmy at a fair when i was a child. And since then I have been a goat fan. I met a girl who kept 2 Pygmy goats in her home as pets. They wore diapers and everything. Her family had a bad allergie to dogs, so they got goats instead.

I like "little" goats, and once I move I plan on doing a little more research before I go out and get one. So far I have heard all goat have very different personalities, and you want to hand raise them so they don't get 'mean " later on...
I am not sure if i want a horded or de-horned goat either. I would rather have one with horns, but I would hate it to butt someone or say another pet and hurt them.

Hi!

Another goat fan here! hehe... I'm currently working at a dairy goat farm.. and later I'll post a few pictures of the kids born in the last few weeks... so look for them.. most of them are saanen... but for the first time in the farm, an alpine was born.. (her sister is half alpine, half saanen... lol)... anyway... that's all I wanted to say...

There are no Pygmy Goats in Australia because they cannot be imported. You can check out info on Australian Miniature Goats at:

I own 3 pygmys, one is a not-so-baby baby of our female. The father was a HUGE goat named Traveller ;) We are hopefully going to get some babies to raise, cuz i really want some little babies....My parents wont let me breed my mice.

I have a Pygmy Goat (Quinn). He's so fun! Quinn was born in November and the place we got him from had so many pygmy goats it was awsome. Anyway he loves to run around like a fool and he plays soccer with me and my dog. We had him dehorned and but one of his horns grew back and we had to get that horn dehorned again. Poor guy, I felt so bad for him. He lived in our basement then 'cause he was only a baby, but now he lives in the barn next to the pony.
