:hamster1: hey yall, my hamsters are almost 21 days old!! all of them are doing great and getting fatter and bigger everyday!! i am stumped however as to what to name them!! i have 4 boys and 2 girls!! i have a name for one boy, cinnamin, this is because he is a dusty red color, with raccoon like markings of red around his eyes!! hes so adorable, yet not the one i am keeping!! my hamster is a boy, with a black head, black bottom, and a black stripe going down his back...kinda like a reverse skunk!! but i would really appreciate it if you all could help!! 1 girl is light brown and white, 1 girl is blackish/brown and white, and 2 boys are blackish/brown and 1 is light brown and white!! thanks for the help!! :hamster1:

No offense...but if you're not going to keep them, dont name them. Although I don't speak for everybody, a lot of people like having the liberty of being able to name their own pet. If you're going to sell them to a pet store, their names will be ignored anyways. I don't necessarily agree with naming/not naming, but I've worked in a variety of pet stores, and I'm telling you what I generally find to be true. If you decide to continue naming them, good luck!

i think we got bigger problems on these forums, than the name of the hamsters that your not gonna keep. no offense, but cmon, we got people with hamsters with wet-tail, some with broken legs, and we are all worrying about the name of the hamsters your not going to keep ?

this is to DA ONE..not to be mean but this is a hamster forum and i think people have the right to ask anything they want about their hamsters...there have been plenty of other people who have asked about names for the hammie and if u felt this post was unimportant..then u shouldnt have answered to it..u have every right to scroll down and look at a post for wet tail or w/e...if u didnt felt this post was no big deal why did u take the time and effort replying to it wen u could have spent that time replying to someone who has a hammie with wet tail...just food for thought..it makes sense..so why dont u go and think about it before wasting ur time to a post wen there are "bigger problems"

because i remember a while ago. when i still had the name of boovila the hamster forums was full of mature people who would actually post knowledgable facts on hamsters. but now all you see is "My hamster is so cute, and loooooves running in the wheel " Or, "OMG i have an emergency!!! I dont have a name for my hamster!!!! omg omg what should i do!!!! help me pick a name quick!" The hamster forums just turned into plain old crap, and its a shame i have to say that but its true. I remember back in the day when lilsnoppydog first signed up and she would post respectable questions about her hamster that older people would answer because they knew it was a god question. but now, alot of older people odn't even come into the hamster forums to answer because they know its going to be the same old "Pick a name for my hamster" Or "Im putting 2 syrians in a cage and i dont care what everyone saids" Its just sad to see a forum turn into this, it just is

well "da one" im sorry that you dont think this is important enough to be on here, but it blows my mind that you see it as unimportant and a waste of time, and an unrecpectable question, and yet you keep replying. i really dont care about back in the days questions and todays questions, ok? so why dont you go help someone whose hamster has wet tail, or something, and stop wasting your time on such questions as what to name my hamster!! ok? and as to the rest of you thank you for "wasting your time" (as da one would say) and helping me. i admit, it wasnt the best question, but sometimes, its nice to get away from all the wet tail, mysterious death, etc. questions and have a decent conversation...well until someone decides to try to ruin it!! but thank you all!! and yes gizmo is a very cute name, but my aunts dog was named gizmo and its a very tragic story, but i think i am gonna name it gizmo...thanks!! but thanks all who decided that this post was important enough to worry about!!

THANK ALL OF YALL FOR POSTING!!! and i know it seems pointless, but i mean, you have to admit, its nice to get away from all the wet tail, hamster died, and such posts. its nice to have a conversation about something other than death, sickness, and diseases, that is why i posted this, and i know it does seem stupid...but it wasnt completely unimportant...i think we all needed a break from the real life for a bit. but thanks for posting, and please dont stop...its been fun and i dont want it to end now!!!
