I have a 3 year old spayed American Bobtail (purebred, riser tail) named Eilidh (pronounced "aye-lee") who needs a new home.

We love Eilidh very much. She is a very warm and loving cat who is extremely intelligent and very quiet.

She gets along well with dogs and her best friend is one of our collies. She sleeps with him and grooms him, and in return he cleans her ears. She also gets along quite well with our two kids and our other cats, two Pixie-Bobs.

Why do we want a new home for her? Eilidh is not a happy cat :(

It is because we care for her so much that we can tell she is not as happy as she could be. Eilidh is a "woman's" cat. She loves women and responds best with them. She bonded to my mother-in-law immediately and my mother-in-law really likes her. Unfortunately, she lives in Michigan and is allergic to cats.

Eilidh is very demanding. She loves nothing more than a never-ending petting session -- something which I cannot give her.

You can see it on her face -- a sadness when I am with my kids or another cat or a dog or when I just want to be alone with no animals bothering me.

Eilidh needs someone who can give her the attention and love she desires. Only then do I feel she will be truely happy.

If any woman in the Herndon area of Northern VA wishes a wonderful cat and has the love and time needed to bond with Eilidh, please email me.

Eilidh will ONLY go to an "approved" home -- one that my entire family feels comfortable. We love her and do not wish her to go, but we know she is not happy where she is.

Thank you,
Roan
