Okay, some of you have cats and rabbits and I was wondering how much work is it? There is this one cat that is declawed and her name is Lucky. She is spayed and litter trained and is being given away for free. I gave the lady, Diane a call and asked for information. She is an orange tabby, 6 year old female. Diane asked if she wanted me to have her bring Lucky over. I asked my mum and she said it was fine. My mum doesn't really want me to have this cat but I really want her. I just need something to cuddle with and Dolce and Gabby are not giving me that. Lucky did. Lucky wandered the house and we took her to the rabbits. She hardly noticed them! The only fear my mum has now is 1) I may be allergic but I dont think I am to Lucky (its mild) 2) I am going to school and who is gonna take care of them? I told my mum I will and Ill make a schedule. I don't know what my dad says but please pray that he says "Alright". Thank you all. I really love lucky the fat cat. Hehehe.

you may have read my earlier post, if not that's ok. Ask your mom if you can "cat sit" lucky for a week, it will give you an idea of how to arrange your schedule, and it will show whether or not you are allergic to lucky. It's best that you find out if you are allergic before you take lucky. That's just my 3 cents ... and if you aren't allergic to lucky... GREAT! kitty gets new home, you get new friend, and your mom doesn't have to worry about you being allergic. :D

Diane feels allergic around Lucky, thats all. I might want to try to bring Lucky home tonight and after a few days if I like her she can stay and if I can't well I gotta listen then. Thanks! More suggestions please and how much work are cats..old cats.

Depends on the cat, old cats usually already have their personality pretty evident. Some don't like a lot of activity and will hide, while others are the centre of attention. It really depends on the cat. You said you have 2 other cats, i think. it may take some work introducing lucky into the family (cats tend to be territorial, but they eventually get used to the idea of a new addition to their household)
Read some of the old posts here, they're very informative, otherwise ask some more direct/precise questions.

Yeah I understand the difference in all kittys. The personality varies on breed and cat. I don't have other cats I have two other bunnies. My mum is saying no because she said that the bunnies are messy. She said we have two buns and that is enough to hold. They hate animals for some damn reason. Oh god I really want Lucky but they won't let me have her. I can't keep her outdoor either. How can I convice them..my dad gets mad easy so be sure to think of that option, too.

why are your bunnies messy? (i have LITTLE bunny experience but enough to know that if you keep their shavings clean... they're not dirty at all) Are they your dad's bunnies? If they're messy maybe he doesn't take care of them well enough. (I'm just wondering). Perhaps you could take care of the bunnies extra well, and then you can show your mom the bunnies aren't messy because they're bunnies, but because they needed to be taken care of better. This will also make your dad happy, (if they're his bunnies) because he'll be surprised, and have one less thign to do. If you show your mom that you can be responsible to keep the bunnies clean maybe you can show her how responsible you are and how well you would take care of a cat.....

It's just an idea....

Mehh, I wish they were my dads bunnies. They can be very messy. Kicking litter pan out of pan, knocking over hay rack etc. I guess I won't be able to get lucky anymore. The lady wants a decision this afternoon. Please pray my father will say yes.
