Breeders around Birmingham, Uk.

Does anyone know of any repuatble gerbil breeders around Birmingham in the UK?

I was origionally going to get on from the local pet shop, but having done some research it appears that a breeder would be wiser.

I found a member of the AGS that lives in the UK. Maybe it is close to you?

I do not know any breeders that show their Gerbils who live around Birmingham, unfortunately there seems to be a void around there (two used to live in Coventry but both recently moved) and you will have to either go north to Sheffield and Manchester or go south to London and places like Surrey.

However, I am sure that there are breeders around there... But they just don't show their Gerbils. You would be best off contacting Julian Barker of the NGS (go to the NGS website and email him) and he might be able to direct you to a member who breeds in that area.

check out the show listings on the ngs site, there is a show every month or so, and there is always gerbils available there.

Thanks everyone for replying. :D Ill look round and remember what you said! I would like to get a breeder but iv found this garden centre called melbicks. i was just wondering if the gerbils would be fit and healthy, :o or would i be better getting a breeder. You should check out this site Kate, http://gerbilsuk.proboards15.com/ there are lots of breeders from the UK here and a lot of them go to shows. If you can make it to a show I'm sure someone will take gerbils along for you to pick up.
