When he just sits in the tank - he always has his head cocked to one side (most of the time, its the right side). When he gets excited, he starts turning in circles on land or if he's in the water, he swims in circles. He has alittle trouble catching crickets too but eventually one wanders too close and he feeds. If I didn't know better, I'd say he either had a stroke or injured his head (I checked him for obvious injuries and didn't find any). This behaviour has been going on for about a week now.

Some info: He is male, 4 yrs old, lives with 3 other males roughly the same age as him. Housed in a 55 gal aquarium 50/50 setup, filtered water, good temp and humidity conditions.

Has anyone else experienced this condition with these toads? Is this a contagous condition? Does he need to be separated from the others? Any thoughts or advice you have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!.....James

I'm not a vet but I think he's got some tympanum infection or desease.
