Hi
I need some help. My family adopted a male orange tabby cat. He's about 2 years old now. I can't stop him from peeing all over the house. He would walk around and spray the furniture.
It's there anyway to teach him not to do that.
PS We do have another cat in the house also
Thank you

hello. firstly, is the cat neutered? cause that will generally help to stop spraying and is really just a good idea for health reasons and such. secondly, where is it that you want the cat to pee. in a litter box or outside?

My brother got him from the SPCA so I think they are usually all neutered when you get them. I what him to just use the litter box, but he never listens and sprays on anything.
Thanks

ok, do you have a litter box for each cat? some cats don't like to share theirs w/ other cats and won't use them then. also, when you see the cat is about to pee/or is peeing take him straight to the box. he will learn eventually where he needs to go. finally, make sure the spots in your house where he's peed are cleaned thoroughly so he won't be able to smell them and mark there again.

Yeah both cats have seperate litter boxes. The don't even see each other. I have to seperate them because they fight.
I think the cat might pee because he is loney or something
Any thoughts?

stress may be the reason the cat is peeing all over. give both cats lots of love, but in separate areas from each other. also, keep showing your cat where it needs to go and clean the pee spots thoroughly.
