To Monroe The stray cat I trapped off the freeway exit and took to the vet only to find out you had FIV and feLV.
I had to put you to rest, I wish I could have gotten to know you. I am glad you felt the kind touch of my husband when you allowed him to pet you briefly.
I knew you since the 19th, I only had you since the 26th. On the 27th your at the bridge with out any pain.
Rest peacefully Monroe. You were very much loved.
Please people, have your cats tested and vacinated for these awful illnesses. Monroe only knew a loving hand for less than 12 hours. But at least he passed knowing he was loved. For one night he didn't have to hear the horns, or the traffic, the bridge giving way to all the trucks. He was safe from the rain and hot and cold. He had food and fresh water for a week before I caught him. For that I am grateful.
This was a beautiful big orange tabby. I was all set to foster him but it never made it that far. I have a big hole in my heart, as does my hubby. We made a small donation in his name to the Cornell University for Cat health. He was our first rescue.
