Owing to some deaths (another thread, later) I have had room for some rescues.

These two were TOO cute for words - Cinnamon the mom, and her son, Dion.

Why "Dion"? Remember the singer Dion's most famous song. "The Wanderer"? well, this guy was another wanderer. He managed an amazing escape soon after I got him before he was named: he pushed a "Chube" to the other side of the bin, stood on it, found a pinhole I had used for another waterbootle, gnawed it big enough to squeexe through - and was gone for TEN DAYS! :o I made major efforts at searching for him lasting hours,but he was too quick and nervous. I feared him dead a number of times. But then I heard some noise one night; I sneaked up to a big flower pot and his tucchus was sticking out. I grabbed it fast - and we were eye to eye! :) He lookd just fine; of course I had left food and water out.

He is now in a bin behind me, alone.

I wish I could have a hamster (Cant own them here) I would get one that looked like either Cinnamon or Dion.. absolutely adorable :)

Hey Zouave I have a question for you. Those 2 hamsters Cinnamon and dion, what kind of hamsters are they? Also dont you have to seperate them soon because doesnt the son try to have sex with the mother? Thats just what i heard.

My post, which you should read, answers that question.

But I do not know what kind they are, not with certainty. Anyone know??

I actually separated them before he managed his amazing escape, and he was still quite young. In fact, I believe I put him a separate bin a day after these photos were taken. I could still at that point barely even discern a scrotum on him when I checked.
