How can I be sure?

I bought Wendy Crittertrail one, and the water bottle it came with I've never seen her use yet. The water level keeps going down but I think it's only because she trys to escape at night and rattles the water bottle.

Crittertrial bottles are terrible- buy a ballbearing bottle and attach it outside. You can either leave the old bottle in, or buy a bubble cap to fill the hole. The bubble cap won't fit right, but if you put sme thin strips of tape around the bottom- several layers- you can wedge it into place. You can get a ballbearing bottle for about $2.
