I had posted in this forum several times about my evil hamster Hops. Well with everyones help and some garden gloves, in less then 2 weeks she is a love bug. She comes to the top lookout in her cage when I call her and loves to be held (with out gloves now). She is a dwarf hamster and I have heard they can be fiesty. I no longer stick my hands in her cage. I always call her to me at the lookout and then take her out. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Congrats! It took me about three weeks to tame my dwarf, too! I was a little stubborn and didn't do the glove thing- so I got bit a lot! It was a little disheartening, as all my syrians had been instantly tamed. I am glad you have made friends! They have their own little personalities, I've learned- and the dwarves particularly demand respect!!!
