my hedge hogs not eating.

All my hog is eating is kitten food. I've tried to feed it tomatoes,bananas and cottage cheese but all it will eat is cat food.Any advice would be apreciated. thanks

Hi, did your hog use to eat veggies as they usually prefere meat try him on a special hog food or get him some slugs, snails and insects out the garden. Cottage cheese and other dairy products such as milk are VERY bad for them as their digestive systems can't cope with it and it can become blocked and the heggie could die, so even if they do love it it's in their best intrests not to give it to them. from what I know all Slick has been eating is cat food, but I'll try this and see what happens.My hedgehog is about 15-20 weeks old and I've had him for a little over week. thanks for the advice.

thanks for the advice. I got some insects and put three in his food bowl and two under his shavings for him to forage for.From what I can see there no sign of them any where.thanks again
