Hi Grog,
I am soooo sorry to hear about your hamster being ill. We just lost our hammie a week ago tommorow, and it was devastating, especially when you have them for a long time. My hammie lived to be 4 yrs old which is a great life for a hammie, but I dont want to upset you, but that is exactly the same way my hammie got right before he passed,he was also shaking alot when he did try to walk, which maybe a step or 2.I had taken our hammie to the vet to be sure there wasnt something other than age playing a factor in his health failing so quickly, and the vet confirmed it was old age. If this is your hammie's final days, spend as much time as you possibly can with him and he will pas on to rainbow bridge, knowing that he was loved, and will never be forgotten.
