Gender?

Hello,

I read that if a canary is a boy, he will sing a lot and a girl, she will not sing or sing a little.

I am not sure what is the gender of my canary. Sometimes it sings a lot, sometimes it doesn't even chirp a sound.

What does this indicate its gender? Half boy-half girl? http://petshub.com/ubb/eek.gif

Hi No this doesn't mean your bird is half male half female! http://petshub.com/ubb/tongue.gif It is not true that only males sing, but they do sing more.
