Need help please...

My gerbil, Mr.Snuggles who is kept in a cage, keeps pooping in his bedding, This is terrible. and i do not know how to make him stop

I have tried everything from putting multiple bedding areas from closing the area off to rubbing his nose in it - All of these..failed, I really need a gerbil expert to help me out!

I have never had a really tiddy gerbil. I would not punish a gerbil for going in his bedding. I do not think there is really much you are going to be able to do, except clean his cage often. Gerbils are not the brightest animals. I own them and raise them and do love my gerbils, dotn get me wrong, but they do not in anyway compare with a rat. Just let the gerbil be a gerbil. Good luck with your gerbil. and please dont rub his little nose in it again
