Does anyone have any info on hairless hamsters? I just got one and it doesn't seem to be drinking. Are they not as smart as the furry hamsters or something?

I know that hairless hamsters are different then a regular syrian hamster, and have different needs.

I have no experience with them, but I know that jennawing does. Hopefully, she will be around shortly to assist you.

Yes, I think so. I think that almost any mammal/pet can be hairless.

Thanks everyone! I took him to the vet and he's doing a lot better now. He wasn't drinking because of the style of his water bottle, so I got him an easier kind to drink from. He's on medication and hopefully will be a fun and active hamster in no time! :D :) :D

I'm very happy to hear this. I was worried about the little guy, but didn't know what to post, other than go to a vet. I'm so glad you did and that he is doing better.
